What are TTN's aims?
- To increase an awareness of the psychological impact of traumatic events,
such as road traffic accidents and provide a service that takes a
biopsychosocial approach to providing care – looking at the interplay
between physical, social and psychological factors and how these impact on
the person undergoing rehabilitation.
- By thinking about the mind/body dualism, The Treatment Network can
provide both physical therapies as well as psychological therapies to help
individuals to return to the levels of independence which they previously
enjoyed or to adapt to the limitations that might have been imposed on them
as a consequence of their “trauma”.
- To provide an excellent standard of therapy by only working with
Chartered Psychologists (on the BPS register of Chartered Psychologists),
who are qualified in the area of psychology required, e.g. CBT or
EMDR.
